California congresswoman says expanding Sacramento’s tree canopy could help underserved communities

Doris Matsui’s “Trees Act” would set aside $50 million annually for five years to fund the planting of 300,000 trees. The money would be available through a cost-share grant program funded through the Department of Energy.
